On the evening of April 7th. 1916 proclamations wors posted announcing that Kwangtung had "declared independence". April 10th. Attacks by large armed bands were made on Pu Kut and

Shun Chun Market Stations. Troops were sent fren Gazten and

the rebbers vere dispersed after losing about a dozen in killed

and prisonera.

April 14th. st 1 s.m., armed robbers broke inte Sheh Pai Station

and stole the cash.

April 15th, sarly morning, armed robbers breke inte Tin Tong-Tai

station and stole money and effects.

April 15th. at night, armed rebbers attacked Shoung Ping Station

and stole money and effects.

April 17th. at midnight, Three rebbers held up the railway police

as Sheung Ping and robbed them of all their effects. April 18th. in ovṛning, six rebbers attacked shoung Ping Station

and stelp the cash.

April Ɛlst. in şarly morning, a small gang of rabbers attacked

Bheung Ping station and stele the cash and broke into the permanent. way gang-hut and stole all the tools for greater facility in breaking the track when desired.

April 22nd, at 1 s.n. Siz rebbers attacked Shoung Ping Station and

the cash having been previously removed, brake all the deers

and stole the furniture and provisions of the staff.

April 25th. at night Wang Lik gang hut rebbed.

April 27th. Han Keng station beseiged by large gang of armed robbers.

Station and gang-hut lestad, Trespa sont from tanten and robbers

dispersed with a loss of thras killed.

April 29th. Robbera again appeared at Ham Kong but did not attack. April 30th. at 1.80 p.m. Sheung Ping Station war attacked by the

same gang of robbers and money stolen.

April 30th. Nga Teo station was attacked by armed robbers and money,

#lothing and furniture stolen.

May 2nd, traffic was stopped at sien Tsun by fighting between robbers

and soldiers.
